Setbacks Mean Nothing!

A little bit of news, rather annoying news at that, but news right from the source. After all, you deserve to be kept in the loop. I appear to have suffered a major setback in many of my projects due to a hard drive crash. This includes my Heroes of Oz and other layouts as well as quite a few logo files. But if anyone thinks for one minutes that I’m letting this get to me, you better bet your sweet ass that I’m still pushing forward, no matter what it takes. I’ve never given up before (contrary to what certain people have said – yes, word has gotten back to me), and no matter...

Horrible News – My Dad Has Died

Horrible News – My Dad Has Died Joseph Warren Conway, my father, passed on June 16, 2010. He was a remarkable man, and I always looked up to him. This video is what was played at his memorial service. I hope he likes it. Farewell, Dad. I look forward to seeing you again someday.

EMERGENCY!

EMERGENCY! Just got off the phone with my Mother. Jude and I must head to Loveland, grab my daughter Earline and head up to Gillette, Wyoming. I will blog as to the reason after I can calm down from this hard-hitting news..

Moving? Maybe more like standing still..

Moving? Maybe more like standing still.. Today we were to move into out new place… The housing inspector came.. He approved the location.. Even the manager gave us keys.. But then, a new twist: the lady landlord called and told Jude this: Sorry, but due to new information that just came to my attention, I cannot and will not rent to you, now or ever! Then the lady hung up! Jude called back to ask what this information was, but she refused to answer her phone.. Jude even had Erin from HPRR call her – and even Erin was told that the landlady did not have to give a reason, just that she changed her mind… This is so ridiculous...

Moving – Onward & Upward!

Moving – Onward & Upward! There’s good news, bad news, and that which lies in between… Good news: We we approved for three months worth of rent, as well as security deposit, to be paid by the HPRR association (read earlier post, part 2) Bad news: Jude and I have spent $100+ on applications to apartments, only to be turned down. And to make matters worse, we have to wait for the complexes to mail out the reason(s) why we’re being turned down… In other news, Jude and I spoke with the manager of Heather’s condominium complex – there may be an opening for us – keep your fingers crossed!

In with the New, Part Two

In with the New, Part Two I’m just posting today so everyone can know what’s going on.. We have moved in with my very good friend Heather and her amazingly loving mother, Tia. This move is and can be only temporary, but that’s all right. Jude has gotten us an appointment with the Homeless Prevention & Rapid Relocation program. They should be able to help us find a place while we get back on our feet. Anyway, I am exhausted from three nights with barely a couple of hours sleep, so I’m going to sign off from WordPress. Oh, BTW: Just in case, after we cleaned that apartment as best we could, I video...
